The Organ Academy and Concerts at Stratford Summer Music is unique on the summer organ concert and advanced study circuit. Begun in the year 2001, the inaugural year of Stratford Summer Music, every year the Academy has welcomed concertgoers and talented students from across North America and beyond to study with and hear performances by the foremost performers and pedagogues of the King of Instruments in a festive and uniquely creative atmosphere.
Based on an intensive week of private study, masterclasses and performances by an internationally-known master of the instrument, the Academy’s small size (five students), and its unusual artistic setting in a major Canadian summer arts festival and one of the world’s foremost repertory theatrical festivals provides an educational experience of true meaning for the advanced organ student.
